Registration is open for the Rotary District 5040
Youth Conference, May 5 to 7, 2017
in conjunction with the Rotary District 5040 Conference.

The Youth Conference is open to any student between ages 13 and 18, or to those over that age, with a valid CRC and connection with Rotary, including: Interactors, Past RYLArians, Past, Future and Current Youth Exchange Students, or perhaps students your Club sent to an Adventure Program or a Rotary member’s child or grandchild who is wanting to learn more about what it is Rotary is about in a fun youthful environment.

Our program, as outlined below, starts on Friday afternoon, May 5, in Whistler and ends at noon on Sunday May 7.  There is a bus available to take students to Whistler from the Lower Mainland and back again for a nominal fee.

Register on or before April 23th for $200
On April 24th registration goes up to $250
The bus from the Lower Mainland is first-come-first-serve up to first 45 at $40 (return)

Registration includes accommodation at the Whistler HI Hostel (2010 Olympic Village), all meals, entertainment and engaging speakers. Students will spend time between our own programming and the main conference.

Itinerary


Friday, May 5th

  • Leave Vancouver @ 8am
  • Arrive at Whistler HI by 1030am
  • Drop bags & go to Chateau for 11am
  • Registration and Ice Breakers at Chateau (need break out room)
  • Lunch in Village noon-1pm
  • Join Main Conference for Speakers from 1-2pm
  • Break Out sessions w Main Conference from 2-3pm
  • Breakout Sessions (youth conference) from 3-5pm (need break out room)
  • Cinco de Mayo dinner at Mexican Restaurant in Village from 530-9pm (to be confirmed)
  • Bus back to Whistler HI
  • Networking Games

 
Saturday, May 6th

  • Breakfast at Whistler HI from 7-8am (volunteer caterer)
  • Bus to Chateau Whistler @ 830am
  • Coffee Break (outside for youth) @ 1030am
  • Speakers and Awards with Main Conference from 11-noon
  • Lunch in Village 12-1pm
  • Keynote with Main Conference from 130-230pm
  • Geocache with Main Conference from 245pm
  • Bus to Whistler HI for catered dinner and Casino Night (to be confirmed)

 
Sunday, May 7th

  • Breakfast at Whistler HI from 8-9am (volunteer caterer)
  • Group Session at Whistler HI
  • Fun Field game (weather permitting)
  • Closing
  • Depart noon with bagged lunch
